Fundamental Software Delivers New Windows Management Solution

Fundamental Software Inc. released Enterprise Configuration Manager (ECM) 3.0, a management solution that provides built-in capabilities for centrally assessing and standardizing Windows NT and 2000 configurations across enterprise environments.

ECM 3.0 ships with Windows 2000 migration reports that let enterprises centrally pinpoint hardware and software configurations that can prevent the smooth migration to Windows 2000. Reports collect configuration data on NICs, memory, disk space, among other variables, and identify components that are not on the compatibility list, or systems that lack sufficient resources to run Windows 2000.

ECM 3.0 also provides predefined compliance packages for Microsoft Exchange, IIS, and SQL Server in order to help administrators optimize the configuration of those BackOffice applications.

In addition, ECM 3.0 collects all WMI data published by the Windows NT/2000 operating system and Active Directory, as well as Windows NT/2000-based applications and hardware.

I fit that mold exactly. I had to let my MCT lapse while I worked on my career as an author and courseware designer. I have developed curriculum for Microsoft for the Academic Learning Series, and classroom content for other publishers.
The trick now seems to be that I have to reinstate my MCT and go off in search of testimonials. We'll have to see how that works out. I'm not sure I have time to go looking for organizations that have used my training materials.
