Developer Exams Now Live

Registration for security-focused developer exams 70-330 and 70-340 begins June 28.

On Monday, Pearson VUE and Prometric testing centers opened up registration for two new, security-focused developer exams that count toward the MCSD on Visual Studio .NET title. Microsoft completed public beta testing of these exams in April this year (for details on the beta, see "Developer Exams Spotlight Security" in the News archive).

Microsoft recommends that candidates who plan to take Exam 70-330, Implementing Security for Applications with Visual Basic .NET, have at least three years of experience developing secure Web- and Windows-based applications, with a year's experience specifically using Visual Studio .NET 2003.

To develop security-related coding skills, Microsoft recommends the following courses and study guides:

Exam 70-340, Implementing Security for Applications with Visual C# .NET, has similar recommendations and prerequisites, but the concentration is on secure application development with Visual C# .NET.

what were the beta exams results like. How man questions to expect this time?
