Hummingbird Launches EIP 1.5

Hummingbird Ltd. recently launched the next version of its enterprise information portal (EIP). EIP 1.5 boasts greater scalability, platform independence, and improved server management for enterprise-wide e-business initiatives.
This latest release is a follow-up to the EIP that began shipping in January 2000 and includes new features. EIP 1.5 has a repository option that allows users to install either a RDBMS or file repository system; user group support that enables administrators to group users by common characteristics; and distributed architecture and load balancing.
EIP 1.5 is currently available and runs on Windows NT, Sun Solaris, HP, and Linux platforms.
