As our networks get larger and more complex, the challenge to our ability to manage them grows exponentially. The only way to monitor and manage enormous quantities of traffic data is to automate, and that has given rise to AIOps (Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations), the use of artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) techniques to automate IT operations.

A corollary to Peter Drucker’s famous invocation we can readily say “If you can’t see it, you can’t manage it.” The “Network Visibility Imperative” is the need to gain comprehensive insights into network infrastructure, applications, and services to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize performance. The needed visibility becomes impossible without AIOps.

In this coffee talk, we’ll examine how AIOps automatically collects and analyzes mammoth volumes of data from across the network to quickly pinpoint potential issues and their root causes.
