About the presenters:
Brad Linch, Director of Technical Strategy, Veeam Software
Brad is the Director of Technical Strategy in the office of the CTO. Brad has over 10 years of experience helping customers recover their data from both disaster and cyber incidents. Prior to Veeam, he worked at EMC where he focused on emerging technologies. At Veeam Brad has worn several hats from enterprise systems engineer to managing systems engineers to now driving strategic product and go-to-market programs while evangelizing Veeam's Data Resilience vision to keep businesses running.
Ted Ligety, 2 time Olympic Gold Medalist, 5 time World Champion
Ted Ligety is recognized for his innovative technique and spectacular turning ability. At age 21, Ligety shocked the world by becoming the youngest American male to win an Olympic Gold medal in alpine skiing. He continued to dominate the men’s alpine circuit with five World Cup Overall giant slalom titles and five World Championship titles. In 2013, Ligety became the first man in 45 years to win three events at the World Championships, and in 2014, he won the first-ever men’s giant slalom gold medal for the USA. At the 2015 World Championships on home soil in Colorado, Ligety became the first skier to win three consecutive World Championship titles in giant slalom, securing his place in history as a legend in his sport.
Recently retired, Ligety was one of the hardest workers on the World Cup circuit. In addition to being one of the world’s best skiers, he is a father of 3 boys, and he runs his own business, SHRED., which makes high-end eyewear and protective gear for skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking.
