Chart 2: 2008 Salary of All Respondents by Range Chart 2. Respondents were asked to specify a range for their base salary (bonuses and other compensation not included). Most salaries for 2008 fall between the $55,000 and $89,999 range. Interestingly, the number of respondents claiming six-figure incomes has risen from last year. Mean salary is $71,988.

What a joke! Pay for the average tech is way down. There was a posting for a desktop tech with an MCP last month in Fort Worth. They were offering minimum wage.IF you can find a job, the rates are generally 30 to 40 percent below what they were 10 years ago.

You have to remember, these results are always skewed simply by the fact that only a certain number of people respond, and of those who respond, my guess is that it's those who have people working under them. I will say, I do make significantly more than I did in 2003...but it's been a very long and hard road.

lol, in colombia? What else do you expect? It's colombia, obviously you won't make same salaries as US IT Pros do, networking printers and copiers is far different than true skills of building a real network and being able to manage large infrastructures of built networks
