From the business wires this week: .NET developer tools, a network monitor for terminal and Linux servers, and a PCI card that helps detect and prevent network intrusion.

Versant Corporation announced shipment of Open Access .NET. The developer toolset integrates with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003, the .NET framework and Microsoft SQL Server 2000, providing users with mapping tools that effectively link business objects to a database. Pricing is $995 per developer, with no deployment fees. A special introductory price of $495 is available until April 30. http://www.versant.com

Do more with Microsoft Outlook with the latest version of Bells & Whistles. Version 2.5, from DS Development, offers users personalized reply greetings, text templates and reply-to-all monitoring. A download version costs $19.95. Site licenses are available. http://www.emailaddressmanager.com
