Capitalizing on a bug that plagues Microsoft Corp.’s Access databases, Oracle Corp. announced a free migration program that helps Access developers and customers move data and applications to Oracle databases.
As reported earlier this week, a bug has been found in Microsoft Access databases that inadvertently causes changes made in one database to also effect records stored in another database.
Oracle’s tool, dubbed the Oracle Migration Assistant, is available for download from the company’s web site: www.oracle.com. The Migration Assistant is available for no charge, but, of course, Oracle databases are not. – Thomas Sullivan Staff Reporter/Reviews Editor
