Sybase, Nettech to Synchronize E-Business Data

Sybase, Inc. (www.sybase.com) and Nettech Systems, Inc. (www.nettechrf.com) announced today that they are working together to enable the wireless synchronization of e-business data from mobile devices to a variety of corporate information sources.

Nettech plans to join the Sybase Business Solutions Alliance Program, and Sybase plans to join the Nettech Systems' Partner Program. The partnership will allow Sybase and Nettech to combine Sybase's SQL Anywhere Studio with Nettech's line of mobile middleware products.

Wireless data synchronization is a part of Sybase's e-Anywhere initiative, which addresses the synchronization, collection, and distribution of an enterprise's e-business information at any time, from any location. The partnership aims to better enable the transfer of enterprise e-business over public domain wireless networks.

The two companies will concentrate on combining Sybase's wireless data access technology -- which stores data locally on the end-user's mobile device until the user is ready to synchronize -- with Nettech's mobile middleware, which allows Internet and intranet applications to communicate interactively over wireless networks.
