Network Engines Rolls Out "Plug and Play" Servers

The challenge of setting up a network server may be diminished with a new hardware release. Network Engines Inc. rolled out a new line of their Network Appliances, integrated servers for "plug and play" installation and operation.

The servers, which come in NT and Linux versions, arrive with the server software pre-installed. The Network Appliances also boast features typically found on consumer electronics, rather than back end machines. An LCD panel on the front displays the machine’s IP address and a user-customized name. The machines also have a streamlined design, rare for a back-end product.
