Sunbelt Ships Active Directory Monitoring Tool

Sunbelt Software, a provider of Windows NT system management utilities, announced today the availability of DirectoryAnalyzer, monitoring software for the infrastructure of Active Directory.

DirectoryAnalyzer was developed to proactively monitor and troubleshoot the key components and processes of Active Directory, including replication, domain controllers, domains, sites and DNS related Active Directory functions. With two levels of alerts - warning and critical - DirectoryAnalyzer immediately informs administrators of trouble so that Active Directory issues do not gounnoticed.

Troubleshooting features allow administrators to run specific tests to pinpoint directory problems, and DirectoryAnalyzer also includes a knowledge base to help administrators resolve problems. With DirectoryAnalyzer's help, administrators can respond to trouble quickly, saving a great deal of time and preventing more debilitating problems from occurring in the future. Further, to make the migration from Windows NT Server 4.0 to Windows 2000 as easy as possible, DirectoryAnalyzer also enables administrators to view the entire tree structure.

DirectoryAnalyzer has minimal impact on network communication traffic and works independently of Active Directory so that when directory problems surface, DirectoryAnalyzer continues to operate.
