Microsoft Corp. has announced it will host the Windows 2000 Deployment Conferences, designed to provide customers with technical content delivered by product experts from the Windows 2000 development team and Microsoft Consulting Services. The conferences are part of the Microsoft TechNet series of events and will be held March 27-29 in Geneva, Switzerland, and April 26-28 in New Orleans, La.
The Windows 2000 Deployment Conferences will provide prescriptive deployment information from the Windows development team based on direct customer feedback. The technical content is separated into three task-based tracks, Planning, Operations, and Support, as well as three theme-based tracks, Reliability, Scalability, and Interoperability. The tracks will take attendees step-by-step through planning, deploying, and testing Windows 2000-based environments. The conferences will also allow for interactivity by presenting detailed case studies of early deployments as well as small group discussions called "chalk talks."
The conferences are part of the Microsoft (www.microsoft.com) TechNet program, which provides Microsoft product education to IT professionals. The fee for each conference is approximately $1,195, and more information is available for the New Orleans conference at http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/training/win2000dc/default.asp and for the Geneva conference at http://www.microsoft.com/europe/win2000dc/. - Isaac Slepner
