NovaStor Corp. released its InstantRecovery image-based disaster recovery and hard disk copying utility for Intel-based operating systems. The software is capable of duplicating an exact image of a hard drive directly to a tape drive, hard disk drive, CD-RW drive, or other removable media drive. InstantRecovery is self-contained and requires no installation on a user's machine.
InstantRecovery can copy an entire hard disk or individual partition to tape, hard disk, CD-RW, or other removable media, using built-in error checking and verification. InstantRecovery supports recovery to larger disk drives and offers users on-the-fly compression when writing to tape or other removable media. It will also span large images across multiple tapes, disks, or other media.
InstantRecovery is useful for users migrating to larger drives, as they can make an exact copy of their current hard disk and recover the copy to a larger drive. MIS managers can use InstantRecovery's DiskCopy feature to ensure that multiple systems have a consistent software installation and configuration.
