Integrator 2.1 Integrates CORBA-to-COM, Active Directory

The new Integrator 2.1, an add-on to the enterprise-class Integration Server, is now generally available from iE.com. The new release features integration with Microsoft's Active Directory through ADSI and OLE/DB technology, extensive support for wireless applications via Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and Wireless Markup Language (WML), and browser-based access to legacy DOS applications.
Another key enhancement permits bi-directional interoperability between CORBA-compliant objects and Microsoft's COM framework.
The primary new features of iE Integrator 2.1 include CORBA and full Interface Definition Language (IDL) support to facilitate COM interoperability; Microsoft OLE DB support to permit native connectivity to Microsoft SQL Server 7 databases and integration with Windows 2000 Active Directory; DOS "screen-scraping" feature that permits DOS applications to be accessed from Web browsers, an intranet, or the Internet; Mail Library enhancements to provide full support for Mime 2.0 attachments; and Oracle database access enhancements.
Integrator 2.1 is optimized for Windows NT and is integrated with all the BackOffice systems.
