eEye Releases Online Anti-Hacking Security System

eEye Digital Security announced the release of Retina, a network security platform for Windows NT platforms.

Retina is a security application with artificial intelligence features that allow it to think like a hacker. The set of features, called Common Hacking Attack Methods (CHAM), allows Retina to look for both known and unknown vulnerabilities. Retina also includes an auto-update feature, which allows for continuous update of its modules.

Retina's "Fix-it" technology enables the software to automatically correct common system security issues, such as registry settings, file permissions, and other features. Retina's vulnerability auditing modules are designed for NetBIOS, HTTP, CGI and WinCGI, ISAPI and ASP, FTP, DNS, DoS vulnerabilities, POP, SMTP and LDAP, TCP/IP and UDP, registry, services, users and accounts, password vulnerabilities, publishing extensions, SQL database servers, firewalls, routers, and proxy servers.
