NSI Reports It’s Close to W2K Datacenter Certification

Another tools vendor is taking the big step to Windows 2000 Datacenter Server certification through Microsoft Corp.’s testing partner
Veritest.
NSI Software this week said it was “in the final stages of being certified” for the Windows 2000 Datacenter Server logo with its NSI Double-Take software. The tool is for real-time data replication and application failover.
It has already earned the Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2000 Advanced Server logos.
NSI’s progress report on the Datacenter certification coincided with the announcement of a new version of Double-Take, which has enhanced Windows 2000 file system support. The product’s replication technology supports encrypted files, volume mount points and dynamic disks, and Double-Take integrates with the Active Directory.
If Double-Take successfully completes the Datacenter Server certification program, NSI will join BMC Software, CommVault Systems, NetIQ, Veritas and Microsoft as the only companies to pass the test with their software.
Datacenter Server certification requires that an application run on a 32-processor system, behave correctly in a four-node cluster, withstand a stress test, and have documentation of 24X7 support. –
