New features for the best code editor ever

CodeWright is one of the best text editors around for the working developer. They've just released version 7.0, and as usual, they've added yummy new features:

• Diffing on binary files
• Automatic generation of call trees for C, C++, C#, or Java projects
• Color-coding according to regular expressions
• CodeMeeting, for both broadcast and point-to-point file sharing and chat
• Tabbed documents as an alternative to MDI
• XML and XSL Viewers

I am especially impressed by CodeMeeting, which I've used for the simple task of moving source code files between multiple machines as I work on complex projects and book writing. It also looks like a great way to handle code walkthroughs for distributed teams.

Of course, CodeWright does all the other things you'd expect of a programmer's editor, including intellisense, synchronizing with popular IDEs, integrated build hooks, source code control, lots of customization, and macro programming. Perhaps the best way to tell you how much I approve of this particular piece of software is to let you know that I'm using it to write this newsletter.
