Licensing 6.0

Licensing 6.0 caused a firestorm of controversy as soon as it was unveiled in May 2001. After two delays, it went into effect last August. The program eliminated popular upgrade options, favored bigger customers and helped Microsoft grow profits from customers who are muddling through a tough economy with tight IT budgets. But there's evidence Microsoft is adjusting the program to lessen the pain for customers. Will the adjustments go far enough to restore customers' trust in Redmond?
