DesktopStandard Corp. announced on Tuesday the release of
PolicyMaker
Software Update 2.0 at Microsoft’s IT Forum in Barcelona, Spain. The
latest version of the Group Policy-based patch management product features the
scalable Dragnet central reporting system, leveraging Microsoft SQL Server and
SQL Reporting Services. PolicyMaker supports Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003 and
is priced $16 per seat.

Opengear Inc. released its remote management solution, Opengear Secure
Desktop Tunneling. The tool enables both end users and admins to remotely
and securely access and control a computer via Virtual Network Computing (VNC)

Echogent Systems released EchoWare Remote Support System, a remote-desktop
platform based on open-source components. With EchoWare, support professionals
can gain control over customers’ networks without monthly service fees

tool for centralized remote management of servers and desktops embedded with
AMI components. Pilot’s GUI provides discovery, health monitoring and

Tevron announced the integration of CitraTest APM with Foglight
from Quest Software. Tevron’s end-to-end performance monitoring tool combines
with Foglight to offer the ability to monitor an application’s health
