In the week before the Windows XP launch, several vendors moved ahead with Windows environment-related product announcements, including MKS, AMD, Micro Design International, Network Instruments, SmartLine, Northern and e-business technology inc.
MKS, formerly known as Mortice Kerns Systems, brought out two tools for managing and controlling the software development process. MKS Code Integrity Standard Edition is a software quality assessment tool for C/C++ and Java applications. MKS Engineer Integrity Standard Edition for impact and code analysis. Micro Design International is shipping the Express Stor 2700 NAS, a network-attached storage appliance built on Windows NT Embedded 4.0. The device is designed to reside between an optical jukebox and the network. MDI can be found online at www.mdi.com.

e-business technology inc. released PoliVec Scanner 2.1 for security configuration scanning of Windows NT and Windows 2000 networks and workstations.
