Group Policy Monitoring, Reporting, and Alerting

Date: Thursday, Oct. 18 at 8am PT / 11am ET

Any unwanted change to Group Policy could cause significant damage to your Windows environment. From causing computers to not communicate, to users not being able to authenticate, and even damaging the Registry in the operating system (thus causing a BSOD). All changes to Group Policy Objects need to be known by the administrators. Not only do changes need to be known, but ideally the changes are sent via real-time emails and/or SMS messages so that immediate action can be taken if necessary.

In this webinar, MVP Derek Melber will guide you through the technical concepts of Group Policy which make monitoring, reporting, and alerting of changes nearly impossible. Then, Derek will give you precise guidance on how to accomplish your needs around Group Policy.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • How to work with ADM template and ADMX/ADML files
  • What the central store is and how to keep it updated correctly
  • Why monitoring changes to Group Policy Objects is so difficult
  • What is required to monitor, report, and alert on GPO changes
