Keeping Track of Security

eNTrax Security Suite 2.1 adds support for encrypted and authenticated TCP/IP and ODBC, plus an Event Viewer.

The newest version of Centrax's eNTrax Security Suite, which centralizes enterprise-wide security assessment, analysis, and management, adds support for encrypted/authenticated TCP/IP and ODBC, and includes an Event Viewer for event analysis. The company claims that version 2.1 can be installed and used with little or no programming or scripting.

eNTrax can be configured to send an on-screen, email, or pager alert or SNMP trap as soon as it detects a potential breach, and includes predefined activity signatures (events for which an alert is issued) with recommendations for corrective action. It can be configured to trigger counter-measures, such as Disable User Account, Log User Off, and Shutdown Computer, at the point of breach. eNTtrax has a customizable report generator and Audit Analysis and Assessment feature that centralizes and secures all event log data in its original form.
