V-Systems Inc. (VSI) has announced the availability of Breeze Commerce Studio 1.0.2, an enhanced release of VSI's developers' environment for building XML-based business solutions.
The new version allows JDBC/ODBC database schemas to be imported into Breeze Commerce Studio. From the imported schema, Breeze generates JavaBean code. These JavaBeans encapsulate the structure of the database and provide bidirectional transfer of XML data to and from imported data sources.
Breeze Commerce Studio also features a powerful visual forms designer that allows developers to create and modify form templates containing schema elements that are bound to items in the form. A runtime component is provided, which can render the forms to PDF, Postscript, and PCL.
Additionally, the new XML Document Type Definition (DTD) exporter enables Java and XML developers to create and save XML DTDs. They can also produce Java 1.1/1.2 compliant code from DTDs, thus facilitating access to the contents of an XML document.
Breeze Commerce Studio 1.0.2 will be available after December 17.
