Bluestone Software Inc. has announced the availability of its Total-e-Business
product suite based on XML and Java.
Total-e-Business complies with Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Java 2 Enterprise
Edition (J2EE) platform standards. The suite is driven by Bluestone's Java-based
Sapphire/Web Application Server infrastructure. Bluestone's XML Suite takes
care of data interchange and application integration.
The server can be deployed as a JavaBean or Enterprise JavaBean (EJB). It
also supports W3C standards and includes "pluggable" XML core
standards for parsing, querying, application of styles, filters, and
formatters.
The suite includes a component developed in a partnership with Interwoven,
Inc. Teamsite from Interwoven is a component that lets content developers and
business managers collaborate on content and deliver it with Total-e-Business'
J2EE engine. The XML declarative rules engine lets business managers define
personalization and recommendation rules in XML and implement them.
Plug-ins for selling goods and services over the Web, include catalog
capability, shopping cart, search engine, credit card processing, tax
calculation, shipping, order checking, and user registration components. The
e-commerce components are based on a JSP and XML framework that allows for
rapid integration of existing applications. The suite also includes an online
store template.
