Deploying a Windows DNA project may seem to be the exclusive domain of developers, but a new product from WebPutty Inc. allows Windows DNA applications to be created through an intuitive, graphical interface.
While WebPutty Framework is an object-oriented development environment like Visual Studio, WebPutty Framework offers simplified browser based configuration of commerce applications. Designed exclusively for web-based applications, Framework allows users to configure the requisite databases and end user interfaces through the browser, eliminating the need for programming expertise.
In addition, Framework allows for multiple tiers of metadata, or data on how the application is used by end users, going beyond a simple shopping cart. The use of metadata allows professionals to get a sense of their market without having to sift through mountains of raw data.
Framework is WebPutty’s first product to ship, and will hit the market in the second quarter of 2000.
