Plasmon Ships First LTO Drive

Plasmon has begun shipping the first in its linear tape-open (LTO) Ultrium tape libraries. The first model to ship will be a ten-cartridge autoloader model.
The Plasmon LTO 10.1 single-drive autoloader is priced at under $13,000 and features options for barcode and remote diagnostics. Additionally, the drive features 100 GB per cartridge capacity and transfer rates of 15 MB/s native.
Plasmon plans to release a complete line of LTO drives later this year.
