Microsoft Launches New XML Parser

Microsoft Corp. announced the immediate availability of its newest XML parser, MSXML3. The fully supported version is now available for download from the MSDN developer program XML Developer Center.

XML is a technology supporting the Microsoft .NET platform, which will allow for creation of distributed Web services that can interoperate in heterogeneous environments.

MSXML3 adds standards-compliant support for XSL Transformations (XSLT), XML Path Language (XPath), and Simple API for XML (SAX2). MSXML3 also includes caching for XDR schemas, transformations, and queries to improve application throughput.
