Procom Technology Inc. unveiled its new NetForce 3000 series
of NAS appliances for enterprise use.
The NetForce 3000 Fibre channel-based storage can serve
clients on existing LANs, MANs, and WANs. The 3000 series features a raw
capacity of 4.38 TB per rack-mounted enclosure.
The 3000 series introduces two new models: the NetForce
3100HA, an entry-level enterprise featuring fault-tolerant architecture that
includes dual-active Fibre RAID controllers and redundant cooling fans and
power supplies; and the NetForce 3200 Symmetric Fault Tolerant (SFT) appliance
for mission-critical applications. The 3200 SFT builds on the 3100 design by
adding ultra high availability and clustered dual-active server models that ensure
no single point of failure.
The 3000 series NAS appliances support cross-platform file
sharing with support for both NFS under Unix and CIFS under Windows.
