Symantec Attacks W32.KRIZ Virus

Symantec is offering a tool to eradicate all traces of the W32.KRIZ virus. W32.KRIZ is virus programmed to wipe out hard drives and erase a computers BIOS on Christmas day.

Symantec suggests users scan systems for the virus before the holidays, and on Christmas day. Users can use Symantec’s Live Update to detect signatures for the virus or go to a special site Symantec offers for detecting the virus. The site is available at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter.
