MTI Vivant V35 Storage Server Expands NAS, SAN Solutions

MTI Technology Corp. announced its MTI Vivant V35 storage
server for SAN and NAS. The Vivant V35 offers the highest performance and
capacity in the Vivant line.
The MTI Vivant family is an integrated SAN and NAS solution
family, using a high-density design to combine eight Fibre Channel RAID I/O
engines and serving up to 12 TB of NAS/SAN storage to multiple application
servers.
The Vivant V35’s multiple data engines provide exceptional
performance for applications such as online transaction processing (OLTP),
databases, data warehouses and data marts, e-mail, Web hosting, and host-based
file or data sharing. In addition, the Vivant V35 features more than forty 100
MB/second Fibre Channel host server connections; either four Gigabit Ethernet
or eight 10/100BaseT Ethernet network connections; and sixteen 100 MB/second
Fibre Channel connections to dual-ported 10,000 RPM 36 GB and 73 GV Fibre
Channel drives.
The Vivant V35 supports multiple simultaneous RAID levels,
and supports Windows NT and 2000, Sun, HP, and Unix systems.
