Configuresoft Inc. announced Enterprise Configuration
Manager 3.5, which provides proactive security management and alerting to
prevent configuration-related security breaches on Windows NT and 2000 systems.
Additionally, Configuresoft also announced the ECM Windows 9x Migrator that
automates the manual process of indentifying and resolving configuration
conflicts prior to migrating Windows 95/98 desktops and laptops to Windows 2000.
ECM 35. collects and provides enterprise views on
security-related configuration data from all systems connected to the network.
This allows administrators to be able to quickly perform security audits across
an entire enterprise and proactively identify and correct security problems.
ECM 3.5 also features an alerting function, and enables
enterprises to centrally audit and manage the complete range of security settings
across their networks, including hotfixes, security policy settings, and access
privileges. ECM can centrally be controlled through a Web-based console.
