Configuresoft is rebranding its Enterprise Configuration Manager (ECM) Windows 9x Migrator.
The product is now called the Windows 9x Migration Planner to more clearly represent the product's role in the Windows 2000 migration process, according to the company.
"We are … dispelling any confusion that we provide a user and account migration mechanism," Configuresoft president and CEO Alexander Goldstein said in a statement.
ECM Windows 9x Migration Planner automatically identifies and helps resolve hardware, software and configuration conflicts prior to migrating Windows 95/98 desktops and notebooks to Windows 2000.
According to the company, the product complements user and account migration products from Microsoft Corp., NetIQ and Quest Software.
