Eprise Upgrades Content Management Server

Eprise Corp. Tuesday introduced version 3.5 of its content management system server, Eprise Participant Server.

The new version includes a point-and-click interface for building Web sites for content management applications, called Site Generator.

Version 3.5 also includes a content connector to allow external content from ODBC databases to be included within pages controlled by Eprise Participant Server. A three-tier redirector lets IT separate Web server software from the Eprise Participant Server, making it easier to use firewalls and three-tier architectures for security.

The new version also integrates with Microsoft Word, allowing business users to more easily create content for a Web site.

The product will be available this quarter on Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Sun Solaris. It costs $70,000 for the first server.
