Aelita Releases Two Management Tools

Aelita Software released new versions of two Windows 2000-based management tools: EventAdmin 6.0 for collection and analysis of performance data across an enterprise and Enterprise Directory Reporter 5.0 for collecting and reporting directory and configuration data.

Aelita president Ratmir Timashev says the products further the company's goal of creating an intelligence center for administrators. "At the same time, we are supporting the move to use Windows-based systems to manage heterogeneous environments," he says.

To that end, the 6.0 version of EventAdmin adds support for data collection from Unix systems.

Other new features include broader support for Microsoft .NET Enterprise Servers, collection of performance data and integration with Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM). Optional EventAdmin Management Packs deliver EventAdmin-specific data to MOM , where an administrator can control and monitor system functions through the MOM framework.

New features in the Enterprise Directory Reporter include configuration reporting for Active Directory and software and hardware inventory capabilities.
