Legato Ports NetWorker Recovery Manager to NT

Legato Systems Inc. this week made its NetWorker Recovery Manager available for Windows NT systems.

Legato originally released the product for Sun Solaris platforms. The Windows version is different in that rather than the client-server, over-the-network recovery made possible in the Solaris version, the Windows machines must be restored from a CD.

Like the Solaris version, NetWorker Recovery Manager for Windows NT must be used in conjunction with Legato's NetWorker product.

Legato NetWorker Recovery Manager stores operating system information, drivers and NetWorker files on a CD-ROM. It is wizard-driven so non-technical staff in remote offices and departments can restore machines without hands-on help from IT.

Windows 2000 is not yet supported.
