Online Technical Information Service, an information portal and
community for IT professionals. The advertising-free site collects
valuable technical news, tips, tools and support, including links
to relevant sites, and will host webinars, live interactive chats
and video interviews in one convenient location on the Web.

Sygate Technologies updated its Sygate
Security Agent for Windows XP Embedded with version 4.0,
featuring enhanced virus protection and anti-application hijacking.
Other key upgrades include a reduced, single-agent footprint, seamless
integration with Microsoft’s Target Designer and a run-time
version of the agent to provide expanded and stronger security for
devices such as retail point-of-sale terminals, ATMs and thin clients.

Next month will see the release of Winternals
Recovery Manager 2.0, a scalable enterprise-level systems
availability solution for Windows Server 2003, XP, 2000 and NT4.
It provides the ability to rollback servers and workstations simultaneously
from a single console by gathering only the essential system files
and registry information needed for a system restore within minutes.
The new version adds extended malware and faulty patch protection,
faster recovery times, reduced Recovery Point storage requirements

Quest Software announced its support
for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 through a variety of
products and programs: InTrust, the Quest
Spotlight product line and Quest MessageStats;
which supplement MOM 2005’s ability to simplify application

Netilla Networks has introduced Netilla
Secure Gateway Appliance-C (SGA-C), an SSL VPN appliance
especially designed to provide clientless remote access to Citrix
MetaFrame Presentation Server applications, to its lineup of secure
application access management products. The new product incorporates
dynaTRUST, Netilla’s policy-enforcement operating system,
which features the advanced security features found in the company’s
flagship Netilla Security Platform (NSP) SSL VPN appliances. SGA-C
supports 25 or 50 concurrent users and is generally available Oct.
1 for $4,995 for 25 licenses and $6,495 for 50 licenses, with no

McAfee added McAfee
Managed Mail Protection to its stable of online managed services.
The secure content management solution offers integrated anti-spam
and anti-virus capabilities in an automated e-mail managed service,
which is centrally managed and monitored by McAfee to reduce the
workload for small and medium businesses with limited resources.
It is compatible with all e-mail platforms, including Outlook, Exchange
and Lotus.
In related security news, McAfee announced
comprehensive system protection for the MS04-027 and MS04-028 vulnerabilities
made public by Microsoft, Tuesday. The McAfee products that resolve
the vulnerabilities in WordPerfect Converter (MS04-027) and buffer
overrun in JPEG processing (MS04-028), which could allow malicious
code execution, are McAfee Entercept,
McAfee System Compliance Profiler and
