enVision 2.1 from Network Intelligence offers enhanced centralized control of global security on enterprise networks. The security event management software is available for all Network Intelligence Engine EX, HA and LS series appliances and has expanded support for Microsoft IIS and Apache web servers, as well as iSCSI. http://www.network-intelligence.com

Intradyn announced that it will bundle its upgraded line of e-mail archiving and retrieval appliances with Sony AIT WORM tape cartridges. Under the collaboration, Intradyn’s ComplianceVault devices—which help SMBs comply with SEC, NYSE and NASD e-mail retention and availability requirements—will come with either AIT-2 or AIT-3 tape libraries. Zvetco Biometrics released the Verifi P3400 USB fingerprint reader, an authentication device for users to log into computer systems with their fingerprints, instead of usernames and passwords. D-Link is expanding its business product line with its D-Link Web Smart switches aimed at delivering Gigabit speed and smart web management, priced affordably for small-to-medium sized businesses (SMB). While they are simple to use as unmanaged switches out of the box, the intuitive web browser interface offers management features found in managed switches. SSH Communications Security released upgraded versions of its SSH Tectia middleware solution and a new pricing model for entry-level customers to wield enterprise-level security, enabling them to start with a small number of applications and expanding their licenses as need be. This also gives companies the ability to quickly meet compliance requirements, such as SOX, the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Foundry Networks announced availability of full Layer 3 support for its FastIron Edge X series of small form-factor 10-Gigabit Ethernet switches.
