BMC Buys French ID Management Firm
BMC Software announced it is buying French identity management software developer Calendra for $33 million.
“The acquisition enables BMC Software to deliver an integrated suite of identity management solutions that include enterprise directories (white pages and yellow pages), workflow, PBX management, and active directory management,” BMC said in a published statement.
Privately-held, Paris-based Calendra brings its Directory Manager and Workflow products, among others, to the party. The company claims to have five million managed users worldwide, spread among some 200 customers.
The deal is expected to close by the end of January.
