Password Organizer Update Ships
While the world waits for single-sign on to become a reality, 1-abc.net is shipping version 1.10 of its Password Organizer product.
The new version features a faster user interface, additional password-generating options and a backup-and-restore function for the password file, according to a statement by the company.
Password Organizer, from Oldenburg, Germany-based 1-abc.net, is designed to organize all of a user’s passwords and login data in a single place. The user needs to remember only a master password. Additionally, Password Organizer provides secure password management functions, such as a random password generator, its own encryption engine, and text-export capabilities.
The package also has a copy function to simplify entering passwords into login fields. Disk space is the only limit to the number of usernames and passwords, meaning a user could theoretically store thousands of passwords. In addition, Password Organizer can be installed on USB memory sticks, such as jump drives and other re-writable media.
Password Organizer 1.10 costs $14.99 and runs on Windows 9x/Me/2000/XP. Its download size is a mere 111 KB.
