Examine Your Security Risks

Take this Microsoft survey to assess your organization's security.

Microsoft's Security Assessment Tool (MSAT -- sounds like a college entrance exam, doesn't it?) is available, and you should download it and check it out. It's designed to help identify and, in some cases, address security risks in your environment. It doesn't scan your environment as much as it quizzes you (there's that exam similarity), using 172 questions (more than triple the average Microsoft certification exam) in three categories: company information, business risk profile, and defense-in-depth assessment. You get a score in each category that tells you how secure you're likely to be. Be sure to answer honestly! Like any survey in Cosmo, accurate answers are the key to an accurate score.

No word yet on whether a high score on the MSAT will guarantee admission to any Ivy League schools.
