Q: A company's network administrator needs to perform an offline defragmentation of a domain controller's directory database file.

Which of the following modes does a domain controller need to be started in to perform an offline defragmentation?

Answer is A. DSRM (Directory Service Restore Mode) is an advanced boot option that is required when performing an offline defragmentation of the directory database file.

Quick Tip: To perform this procedure, the Directory Services Restore Mode password for the local administrator account must be used.
