Q: A company's IT team is planning to collapse a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain into a new Windows Server 2012 R2 domain using ADMT 3.2. The team needs to know the requirements.

Which of the following is required when migrating a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain into a Windows Server 2012 R2 domain using ADMT 3.2?

Answer is C. A SQL server database instance must be available from the server running ADMT. Source and destination domain and forest functional levels must be 2003 or greater.

Quick Tip: When you migrate to a Windows Server 2012 domain, install ADMT (Active Directory Migration Tool) 3.2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server that can operate as the migration computer.
