Microsoft Learning has released Exam 70-298, Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network, on Monday, December 15. The exam counts as a core exam toward the MCSE on Windows 2003 track and is a prescribed exam for the MCSE: Security on Windows 2003 specialization. (See "

Exam 70-298 is a high-level, design-oriented exam that Microsoft recommends only for candidates who have extensive experience with the conceptual design of a security infrastructure for a complex, enterprise-class network. Instructor-led training is available for this exam. Microsoft recommends Course 2830, Designing Security for Microsoft Networks (click here), which is being delivered at CTECs worldwide. Microsoft Press expects to publish a self-study title, MCSE Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-298): Designing Security for a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network (Roberta Bragg, ISBN 0735619697, US $59.99), in February 2004.
