Help for Those Unruly Clusters

NuView ClusterX can help you unclutter your clusters, giving you a consolidated view of all clusters and allowing you to configure and manage them from a master console.

For those of you who've struggled to keep those nasty clusters under control, NuView Inc. offers hope. The company has just announced a new cluster management solution for Windows NT clusters. ClusterX 1.0 helps administrators manage the Microsoft Cluster Service (MSCS, formerly code-named Wolfpack) that's part of Windows NT Server 4.0, Enterprise Edition.

ClusterX provides a consolidated view of all the clusters and clustered applications within the organization and lets you configure them from just one master console. It also presents a graphical dependency view that shows the order in which to restart resources after a system failure. ClusterX also provides statistics on cluster uptime so that you can better monitor and measure resource usage. ClusterX also simplifies the management of clustered applications such as SAP R/3, Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle7 Enterprise Server.

ClusterX 1.0 is expected to be available on December 1, 1998, with prices beginning at $1,495 per two-node cluster. Nuview, 888-688-4390, www.nuview.com.
