Eicon Expands VPN Line

Eicon Networks is adding new entries to its SafePipe VPN line of Virtual Private Network routers.

Next month, Eicon will introduce the SafePipe 5000 VPN gateway for large companies with 20 Mbps throughput and upgraded client software that supports security features in Windows 2000.

In June, Eicon plans to unwrap the SafePipe 30 for branch office connections to corporate headquarters over ADSL. The version will support for PPP over Ethernet, Dynamic IP and IPSec client built into Windows 2000. A slight upgrade to Eicon’s client software will bring Windows ME support.
