BMC Software more than doubled its modules for managing storage devices under its flagship Patrol infrastructure management solution.
BMC added four of what it calls Knowledge Modules this week: Patrol for Brocade SilkWorm, Patrol for ConXsan, Patrol for McData Directors and Patrol for Nishan IP Storage Switches.
The modules bring BMC's total for modules in the Patrol for Storage Devices family to seven. The company previously announced modules for Symmetrix, Network Appliance Filers and StorageWorks.
Each module is designed to discover, capture, store and report physical attributes and event information for storage systems and storage network interconnect devices, according to BMC.
