Boswell's Q&A

Thanks for the Memories

A long goodbye precedes this quick getaway.

Readers: In this week's column, I'd like to take this opportunity to say goodbye. I've taken on other commitments and this will be my last Q&A column.

I want to express my deep appreciation for the great questions I've gotten from you and the positive feedback I've received about the column. I can honestly say that not a day has gone by that I haven't learned something useful from a reader. Writing this column has made me a part of a global community of IT professionals. It's an experience I'll always treasure.

Help is Still An E-Mail Away

Got a Windows or Exchange question or need troubleshooting help? Or maybe you want a better explanation than provided in the manuals? Describe your dilemma in an e-mail to the MCPmag.com editors at mailto:[email protected]; the best questions get answered in this column.

When you send your questions, please include your full first and last name, location, certifications (if any) with your message. (If you prefer to remain anonymous, specify this in your message but submit the requested information for verification purposes.)

I also want to thank the great team at 101communications and the MCPmag.com Web site for making this column possible. I have a special thanks for my editor, Michael Domingo, who labors ceaselessly to take my raw copy (nearly always delivered right at deadline if not a little bit after) and turn it into the professional content you're accustomed to seeing. His craftmanship and good humor made doing this column every week a real pleasure.

Thanks, too, to the sponsors of this column. Advertising is the engine that keeps vehicles like this in motion. I hope you continue to click through to sponsors' Web sites, evaluate their products and use their services.

Finally, I want to thank Keith Ward, senior editor at this and Redmond magazines and the guy who first invited me to join the team at 101com. Keith's commitment to technical excellence, his zeal for pleasing his readers and his journalistic integrity are a model for the industry. Thanks, Keith.

Q&A will continue to live on, but with guest columnists who are experts in their own right and just as capable of answering your most perplexing Windows, Exchange and general networking problems weekly. Be sure to welcome them with open arms and your list of questions. If you've been saving any really tough questions, now would be the time to submit them.
