The Big(ger) Picture
Change the command-line window mode with the free Fstoggle.exe tool.
This tip is part 3 in a series of 4 on cool command-line freeware.
If you’re running batch-style login scripts, you may from time to time
want to force the command-line window to full-screen or windowed mode, or at
least figure out which state the window is currently in. Enter Fstoggle.exe:
- fstoggle Toggles the display
mode.
- fstoggle 1 Switch to full-screen mode.
- fstoggle 0 Switch to windowed mode.
- fstoggle ? Print the display mode (0 or 1).
The tool also returns an errorlevel of 0 or 1, as appropriate, so that you
can use this from within a batch file and automate the full-screen/windowed
behavior.
