ScriptLogic Ships MSI Installer
ScriptLogic says it is shipping a tool meant to improve how desktop software
is packaged for installation across an enterprise.
Installer Design Studio is designed to lower application ownership and software
distribution costs through streamlining deployment of Windows Installer (MSI)
applications.
“By simplifying the deployment of legacy and in-house applications, as
well as offering a simple interface to tune commercial application installers,
Installer Design Studio saves time and reduces errors in the management and
preparation of application installs,” the Boca Raton, Fla. company said
in a statement.
The package provides features to create Windows Installer (MSI) files from
legacy software installations as well as tools to modify existing Windows Installer
packages using transforms.
ScriptLogic’s Installer Design Studio starts at $499 with a one-year
maintenance agreement.
